Episode #11 - DB2 keeps maturing and getting faster and faster, and the speed and efficiency of DB2 LUW is largely attributable to its brilliant cost optimizer. In DB2 9.7 and FP1, IBM has continued to make optimization improvements. In this episode, special guest John Hornibrook, Manager - Query Optimization Development, from the IBM Toronto Lab will share with us details of DB2 9.7 optimization improvements and new Explain features made available in FP1.
