RRF enablement v9.1 zos
After seeing the discussion on RRF on this list I went to check if we have
it enabled. The zparm shows No so I asked our sysprog sysadm to enable it.
He can't find the parameter in our dsn6sprm macro.
Is there something we are missing here?

Did he regenerate your dsnzparm assembly deck when migrating to DB2 9 or is he still using a DB2 V8 one?

Re: RRF enablement v9.1 zos
(in response to Phil Grainger)
In V9 redbook it was stated that there'd have been a PTF to correct RRF
V9 behaviour in the future. Now we have 'opaque' (???) ZPARM:

PK87348: ENABLE BASIC ROW FORMAT FOR UNIVERSAL TABLE SPACES (was PK85881
in V9 performance redbook)

1. SPRMRRF
Hidden DSNZPARM SPRMRRF will be converted to an opaque, online changeable
DSNZPARM. Default value will remain SPRMRRF=ENABLE.

There's a V8 version as well (for migrations purposes ? A look at
"II14401/II14464: DB2 V8 MIGRATION/FALLBACK INFOAPAR TO/FROM DB2 9" could
help)

If V9 behaviour changed and now reorg is migrating all tablespaces in RRF
format maybe some PTF was applied during maintenace.

Just some thoughts

Max Scarpa
