Antwort: [DB2-L] DB2 & Digital Certificates
Hello,

a couple of days ago you were asking about certificate based
authentication in DB2. I must have missed the answers, if any. In our shop
we had a similar question end of last year when we were talking about
connecting Cognos/Windows to DB2/MVS. Our approach is Trusted Context as
suggested by IBM. This seems to work, but I am RACF-admin and therefore
not really happy with it. Since logon in Cognos is based on smart cards
(and therefore certificates) I am very interested in your findings.

Cheers
Michael

[DB2-L] DB2 & Digital Certificates

I'm interested in using digital certificates for User authentication to
DB2. First off, is this feature even available? If so, does anyone have a
reference for the steps needed to implement this?

(in response to Michael Klaeschen)
Unfortunately I have yet to have any responses....Maybe this will
"re-ignite" the discussion.
