Doe anyone knows to alter the length of a column(SQL SYSNTAX).

ALTER TABLE xx.yy ALTER COLUMN zzzzz SET DATA TAYPE CHAR(10).



Remember you cannot DECREASE the length

Earlier versions can also increase the length of VARCHAR columns in the same way

Remember to REORG afterwards to actually inflate the columns to their new size
