Session Moderators still needed for IDUG North America 2008

IDUG North America 2008 is fast approaching and it promises to be a very informative conference with many technical sessions to choose from. I would like to personally ask you to help make the conference a success by moderating one of the technical sessions. We still have several openings for moderators. You don't have to be a speaker to moderate. We encourage all attendees to consider moderating a session. It is an excellent way to volunteer to support IDUG with minimal impact on your time. Why not moderate a session that you are already planning on attending? No previous experience is necessary. It's an excellent way for you to make a new friend or to make a new networking contact.

If you are interested in moderating a session please us the Personal Itinerary Tool in the Conference Schedule of Events to choose an available session. Directions for volunteering to moderate as well as the moderator guidelines can be found on this page. The moderator duties include introducing the speaker, keeping the speaker on time and collecting evaluation cards.

See you in Dallas.

Interesting

On that page, under "Speaker Bios" it also says

"A hard copy of this bio will be provided to you in your onsite
moderator packet as well. "

So it seems that there will also be on-site moderator packets?

Yep - they didn't change that, so you might question why they want us to
print from home and then getting a duplicate onsite ? :-o

I received an email notifying me of the sessions I am moderating. This

You'll find the complete moderator kit and speaker bios above.

Hope this helps,

It's IDUG's economic stimulus package - more paper, more toner. Or it might
just be good to have a BACKUP - something most DBAs are fond of.

:-)
