Activities related to "First Question"/Second question

Robert Galambos

Activities related to "First Question"/Second question
here is what I am looking for while I am there.

A Good, real, (not straw, cheap, tourist) Cowboy hat (I am into hats like that I have a couple of Aussie cowboy hats I wear most of the time (and for those people who want to say hi, I will be one of many who will have a hat on))

Now here is the problem for me. I have a large head (no comments please). size 8 for those who have enquiring minds, and the last time I went to idug/IBM in TX I could not for the life of me find a good hat that fit. (except for la president Stetson which cost a fortune to say the least)

so anyone know around where we are staying, a place that I can go to, to see if they have a hat that fits etc.

thanks

Well, pardner, you've got Wild Bill's Western Wear Store in the West End
district downtown, a few blocks from the Hyatt (
http://dallas.citysearch.com/profile/9580340/dallas_tx/wild_bill_s_western_wear_store.html
).

If you want your western wear with a bit more of an edge, take the McKinney
Avenue trolley (http://www.mata.org/) to the West Village and visit Cowboy
Cool (http://www.cowboycool.com/).

Happy trails,

Robert (but you can call me Cowboy Bob)

I bet many people will be bringing highlighters to mark important tid-bits that they gather while attending the many awesome technical sessions.

You may use the highlighters to 'customize' your badge with any nickname that you want. In fact, you can even draw a 'Texas Ranger Star' on it and be Sheriff if you want!!!

I wanted to fit in, also being from Houston, TX.......

It is just that it all looks great until I open my mouth, the
South-African accent coming out from under a Stetson just doesn't work.

Since I am a golfer, and I can feint a slight French accent, I'll stick to
my LSU Football National Champions cap !
