Feedback
now the conference is over and we have recovered from Dallas (gotten to the point we have caught up with our email, VM, work etc)

As for what I think. (if you allow me)

1) Good.. the selection of sessions were over all very good. There was something for everyone, for most of the days.

2) Bad there was a least one area where there was really nothing. That is in terms of Data Privacy/Legislation issues that we need to know about both locally and worldwide and how DB2 can address this issue(sounds like a topic for next year.....)

3) Good The staff/volunteers. They were always there to help and answer any question that, at least, I had

4) Bad. Hotel was not my favourite. my wife came down with me and she found the 'pool' (and I use that word loosely) was to say the least not great. I have seen more Texas bathrooms that are bigger, and putting it next to an AC UNIT???? what is with that

5) Good. This list. (that me tapping myself on the back). It was an 'experiment' to see how it play out and all we have gotten is positive comments (thanks). I am sure that we will have something along this nature for the future conferences, in some form or another

well that is it for me.

Re: Feedback
(in response to Phil Grainger)
Well, the “pool” certainly wasn’t on par with the Marriott in Orlando. From
a vendor perspective, I think attendance at the VSPs was higher simply
because the Hyatt’s pool was a pathetic puddle. I enjoy a good pool and hot
tub as much as the next IDUG attendee, so hopefully the Denver hotel’s water
recreation facilities will be better – these locations are great places to
hang out and network with friends.

If by chance you are a DB2 LUW user, please consider participating in DBI’s
Tune Your Database for Charity contest which kicks off tomorrow, June 5th.
Frankly, current registration levels are presently disappointing and those
who do participate will have incredibly good odds of winning one of four IBM
IOD Conference passes plus expenses. Get details at
www.dbisoftware.com/biggestloser/ - participation costs nothing.

See you in Warsaw & Denver,

Scott

Re: Feedback
(in response to Joel Goldstein)
The conference and sessions were all of very good to excellent quality.

The IDUG staff were the best.

The Hotel was atrocious, in all areas for me and my wife - we had so many
problems with our room, they gave us a complimentary dinner, which we
didn't bother using !

This list was great Robert, thanks.

I still did not get to meet any of you - I was there on Sunday night -
never saw one sign anywhere - maybe I am blind ?

When you entered the reception, if you went straight back, we were at a

Hi, Mark, I am sorry you didn't get to visit. There was a sign by a
reserved table. It's in the back of the room straight from the
entrance. Maybe next year, we will have a sign at the entrance with
arrows pointing to the area.
