It's not a grocery green bag, but it's not padded for your laptop either. It's good enough for collecting free t-shirts/toys from the Expo. After all, it's a "collectible" item from IDUG. I usually use it as a door prize for my RUG meeting.

Hi

I can certainly do with a new one :-)
My current has both IBM & IDUG & on it - came from Warsaw ...
did not last as you can presume...
The one from Tampa served me for about 2 years before colapsing :-)

Good question - it was just an "assumption based on past performance" that may be WAY off

Actually, the one from last year is pretty good - I have my laptop in it an
use
it every day.

Isn't the new one to hold brightly colored T-shirts and other items you
pick up
during the week?

Re: bag
(in response to Mary Lo)
I've found the giveaway laptop bags from tech conferences to be useful
while I was at the conference, when it only needed to hold my laptop,
various business cards, and a few sheets of paper. Anything more than
that and there'd be problems. That meant the bag would go into a
storage box full of old conference bags in my garage. With my wife
back in school for pre-med, I thought she might consider those bags to
be useful, but then she showed me how thick the average science
textbook is, and I promptly dropped the matter.

That said, I could bring the handful I have to the conference in case
anyone wants them. Some of the older ones are now retro collectibles,
I bet.

See you all next week,
