Test Email to the 3 new RUG Listservs

Test Email to the 3 new RUG Listservs
This is a test email being sent to the 3 new listservs that I created for
the following RUGs:
Turkey
Central PA
Pittsburgh

Cuneyt, I made both you / I the initial owners of these 3 lists. That's
just for now to make sure everything works as we want.

I created these 3 lists based upon the DB2-L configuration. After cloning
the list, I applied the SAME template modifications to:
Archive-Header
Archive-Trailer
Content-Filter
Bottom-Banner
NOTE: You can always tell what templates have been modified by searching
for '*'.

I also logged into the server & toggled the html directories &
started/stopped the servers. So basically, these 3 lists should now be live
& on the website for everyone to see!

NOTE: Once you know what you're doing. You can have a list live on the site
in about an hr. I have created a word doc of directions to follow.

NOTE: I'm still a bit concerned that we have not decided to create an RUG
Listserv FAQ document. However, if you feel that the DB2-L FAQ suffices,
then we'll keep moving forward...

Cuneyt, whatcha think? I'm ready to migrate my membership over to this list
immediately & discontinue supporting a membership database for my
groups.... How bout you?

Tks. Seeya

Re: Test Email to the 3 new RUG Listservs
(in response to Cathy Peck)
Cathy,

This is fantastic!

Now here my comments;

1. I believe we need <DB2-L-Request> like email IDs for each and every
listserv for user requests
2. DB2-L FAQ is fine to startup for RUG Listservs
3. I'm also ready to migrate my memberships over to new list ASAP. It's in
excel format and I guess it is easy to "mass import" somehow instead of adding
one by one.
