Please note - the location has changed! We will now be meeting at the
Giant Super Food Store. Also, since they will be preparing the
breakfast and lunch, I need a count by noon on November 22! Please
send
reservations by that date.

The Giant Super Food Store is located in the Camp Hill Shopping Mall.
Enter Giant Super Food Store through the door at the far left corner
of
the store (the corner closest to Arby's). After entering the store,
look for elevators and a staircase. The meeting will be held on the
second floor in the Community Rooms.

If you need more specific directions, please ask when you register.

tables. This presentation will share some tips and tricks for surviving
and thriving in this arena. Topics include Running utilities 24x7,
Performing table maintenance 24x7, Get to know the DB2 Log, Automate DBA
tasks with REXX and Real-world examples.

Some things with SQL optimization have been the same for a long
time. Others change are changing rapidly with the introduction of
Version 8 and 9. This presentation reviews the basics of access path
analysis with extended discussion of what's new in the latest releases
of DB2. The appropriate place for Visual Explain and Optimization
Service Center will also be covered. Let's talk about what's old, what's
new and how to make the optimizer work for you. Topics include Access
path review, The difference between "what" and "why", What's new in V8,
What's new in V9, Visual Explain & Optimization Service Center.
