featuring Paul Bartak, the regional DB2 specialist and author/developer of a
one-day DB2 V8 seminar on migrating to DB2 V8 on z/OS. He has developed a
complete one-day DB2 migration program. Our program has been custom-tailored
to our group. The program has been designed for the mixture of application

Who should attend?

This presentation has been developed to provided application programmers,
DBAs. and systems programmers the information needed to plan a successful
DB2 migration. You will leave this event with knowledge and a collection of
materials to assist in your planning, preparation and execution of a
successful migration path to DB2 V8.

Presenter:

Paul Bartak has been working with IBM databases since 1985, including the
first version of DB2 on MVS. As an IBM customer for 14 years Paul worked in
Application Development, Database Administration, and DBA Management -
working with IBM Labs on various topics. Since joining IBM in 1999 his role
has been that of a Data Management Technical Specialist, teaming with the
Sales force to present, design, install, demonstrate, and evaluate IBM Data
Management solutions in a pre-sales environment. He is certified in DB2 UDB
V7.1 & V8.1 Database Administration for Linux, Unix, Windows, OS/390 & z/OS;
and in DB2 Data Replication


Directions:

Take I-275 to exit 41, Springfield Pike, Route 4.
Off the exit ramp go NORTH
You will come to the Cresentville Road Intersection / (Shell & Hooters will
be on the corners).
Now CONTINUE approximately 1.4 miles (4 more lights) to Seward Road and turn
RIGHT.
Across the train tracks, Ohio Casualty(OCG) will be on your right.
Please enter the third driveway (after the driveway with the OCG sign in
it).
Proceed past the ponds to the last parking lot to the right.
Enter the double doors where the Ohio Casualty University sign is.
We will have signs posted.
