There is a Sr. DB2 DBA position available in Indianapolis. This is a
permanent position, there is no contract involved. The salary on this
particular position is $80-$90K, with benefits, PTO and a 401K package.

Description:
Our client is rapidly growing their database environment utilizing DB2,
SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 Connect on a variety of platforms. They have
an opening for a Database Administrator/Software Analyst with experience
with mainframe DB2 and either SQL Server or Oracle.
Job functions include:
Installation and support, performance tuning and monitoring, capacity
planning, backup and recovery, and use of related tools. This position
will be part of our technical support team, working closely with our
application
developers.

Required Skill set
A minimum of three years experience as a database administrator in a
large production environment and hands-on exposure to IBM z/OS (MVS).
The candidate is expected to be highly self-motivated and capable of
working with minimal supervision. Must be comfortable working with
application developers. Some experience with Business Objects or other
database reporting tools or
Informatica would be an asset.
Desired Skill set
Communication and business savvy is key..must be able to communicate
well and
mentor junior DBA's.
