How to Conquor Your Shrinking Batch Window

Presentation Abstract

This presentation explores how companies can quickly locate bottlenecks in
their DB2 batch job streams and then construct strategies to ensure that as
much work as possible is completed during their nightly batch window. This
presentation will also explore techniques for ensuring that long running DB2
jobs don't experience excessively long rollbacks that would keep critical
online applications from being available for extended lengths of time.
The following topics will be discussed in detail:

How to locate expensive or long-waiting SQL statements hidden within DB2
batch programs

How to identify and eliminate contention problems between DB2 batch jobs
(-904 & -911 SQL Error Codes)

How to improve DB2 batch throughput and increase production workflow

How to develop safe and predictable recovery positions for all DB2
production batch jobs

Data Privacy - How to Build and Deploy a Successful Data Privacy Project

Presentation Abstract

This presentation explains how companies can successfully plan and
implement Data Privacy projects in their organizations. The following topics
will be discussed in detail:

Overview of Data Privacy legislation affecting businesses today

Construction of a Data Privacy plan - how to design a strategy to meet all

rules
