Free Technical Webcast: Managing DB2 Performance in a Multiplatform
Environment

The International DB2 Users Group (IDUG(r)) is pleased to partner
with Quest Software to deliver a free Webcast presented by Jim
Wankowski, DB2 Technical Specialist, as he helps tune and manage DB2
performance. This live Webcast will run approximately 60 minutes and
participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to the
presenter during the Webcast. Capacity is limited, so register
early. < http://www.quest.com/events/ListDetails.aspx?ContentID=2280 >

About the Webcast
Obtaining optimal performance from your DB2 applications is a
multifaceted exercise. DB2 performance optimization cannot be
limited to simply tuning SQL. You need to have an understanding of
how factors such as memory, physical design, and maintenance can
affect performance.

Join us for a Webcast where we'll show you how to identify and
resolve the most common performance bottlenecks in DB2 running on
Unix, Windows and z/OS. This presentation will compare and contrast
the differences in memory architecture, physical design, maintenance
and SQL tuning techniques for applications running on z/OS and
Linux, Unix, Windows.

About the Presenter
Jim has more than 20 years of development and DBA experience with
DB2 beginning with the initial 1984 DB2 beta program. Jim spent six
years as a DB2 DBA, nine years as a DB2 product specialist with
Platinum technology and is currently the DB2 Technology Specialist
for Quest Software. Jim is a well known speaker and has presented at
many IDUG events, regional DB2 users groups and vendor seminars
around the world.

Webcast Schedule: Wednesday, November 16, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (U.S.
