Topic 1: Database Auditing: Who did what to which data when
and how?
Abstract: The combination of increasing government regulation and
the need for securing corporate data has driven up the need to track who
is accessing data in our corporate databases. This presentation
discusses these drivers as well as presenting the requirements for
auditing access to data stored in database management systems.The goal
of this presentation is to review the regulations impacting the need to
audit, and then to discuss in detail the kinds of things that may need
to be audited, along with the pros and cons of several ways of
accomplishing this.

Topic 2: An Hour of DB2 for z/OS Tips and Techniques
Abstract: This presentation will go over a series of DB2 tips and
techniques for improving your usage of DB2 for z/OS. The tips run the
gamut from SQL performance to programming and administration techniques
to deployment tips for new features to organizational issues. Bring your
stop watch and come see Craig deliver an hour of DB2 tips!

Who: Craig Mullins, Vice President of Data Strategy, NEON
Enterprise Software

Craig S. Mullins is a data management strategist, researcher, and
consultant. He is currently VP of Data Strategy and corporate
technologist at NEON
Enterprise Software in Sugar Land, Texas.

Craig has more than two decades of experience in all facets of database
systems development including developing and teaching DB2 and SQL Server
classes, systems analysis and design, database administration and system
administrator, and data analysis and modeling. He has worked with DB2
for z/OS and OS/390 since Version 1 and has experience working with
Microsoft
SQL Server, Sybase and IMS. Craig has worked in multiple industries
including manufacturing, banking, commercial software development,
education, research, utilities, and consulting.

Craig was appointed as an IBM Data Champion in 2009.

Turn left into the first (of two) parking lot entrances and park in any
unmarked/unreserved space as close to the Training Center as they wish.
The Training Center is the one-floor middle building that connects the
two office towers. There is handicap parking close to the buildings
for those who have the passes. They are to enter through the Training
Center doors and go to the sign-in table by room C-101. There will be
directional signs inside or people stationed to direct arrivals..
