Subject: Indianapolis - DB2 Productivity Presentation - Title: Exploring
IBM(r) Downloadable No-charge Features for Database

Hello Carl! I was wondering if you could do me a favor? Last year you
did
a great job of helping to fill seats at my DB2 9 for z/OS Migration
Planning Workshop but contacting the local DB2 user group. I'm not sure
if
the DB2 group is active, but I figured I would contact you. I've
scheduled
another presentation and demo in Indianapolis on IBM provided
productivity
tools for DB2. This event is free but the IBM office only seats about
18
people so the people will need to reserve a seat. I'll also be sending
an
email using my own list so some people may get this twice.

Title: Exploring IBM(r) Downloadable No-charge Features for Databases
IBM provides the DB2(r) family and Informix(r) Dynamic Server customers
with
several downloadable products at no-charge. The purpose of these
"no-charge" database features is to improve the productivity of database
administrators and accelerate application development. During these
very
difficult economic conditions and strained resources, employee
productivity
is of more importance than ever. Therefore, to improve productivity and
learn about available tools, this presentation will explore the
following
IBM(r) no-charge database features of: IBM Data Studio, IBM Data Server
Client, Optimization Service Center and the IBM .Net Add-Ins. These
features provide many abilities such as; supporting Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA), create database objects, compare table objects,
create
SQL and help in problem identification. This presentation will focus
the
following IBM databases: DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows, and DB2 for
z/OS.
The ultimate goal if the presentation is to improve productivity and
show
how easy it is to work the IBM family of databases, review new features
and
help with DB2 9 for z/OS migration planning.
