Dear Pittsburgh-Based Friends & Colleagues,

I am sending you this email because you work in the Pittsburgh-area and you
are affiliated with one of several groups of data management professionals
in the area. The purpose of this email is to make you aware of a public
course on Data Stewardship & Data Governance that will be held in
Pittsburgh in December 2004. Please see the attached .pdf file for a
complete course description and syllabus.

The 2-day interactive course, "How to Build & Implement a Data Governance &
Data Stewardship Program", will be held on Thursday and Friday, December
9th and 10th, at the Sheraton Station Square. The course will focus on
knowledge transfer of industry proven best practices, roles /
responsibilities / education / commitments, measurements & metrics, process
integration, change management, and more from my experiences working with
notable companies ( http://www.tdan.com/kikclients.htm ).

The course will be of interest to individuals responsible for answering
these types of questions:

-- Are we implementing (or considering implementing) improvements in
financial data discipline as a result of recently introduced or enacted
regulations and legislation?

-- Does management understand the results of providing governance
(execution of authority) and stewardship (accountability for the management
of data) for all of our data assets - including data, content, content,
documents and knowledge management?

-- Are there steps that we can start taking action immediately with minimal
investment to demonstrate improvements in data value, data quality, data
re-use, data security, data architecture, ... ?

For several years, I have been teaching this course on-site for companies
and focusing my consulting with my clients in the area of data governance,
data stewardship, data management & meta-data management. After many
requests, I have decided to hold a public course for those individuals that
have not been able to bring my services on-site. AND ... I am holding the
class in Pittsburgh.

Please see the attached .pdf file that contains all of the information
about the course. Also, please visit www.kikconsulting.com for additional
information about the course and KIK Consulting & Educational Services,
LLC. Thank you.

I hope to hear from you and see you in December.

Best Regards,
Bob
