November 2007 Seattle DB2 User Group Meeting
DB2 Enthusiasts Invited!

Join us Thursday, November 8, 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM for technical insight
into DB2 for z/OS pureXML.

For our User Group meeting, we will have 2 Speakers from IBM: Guogen
Zhang, Sophia Perl

Abstract:
This talk will present an overview of the DB2 for z/OS pureXML and ways
to leverage its features within an enterprise environment. Keeping pace
with rapidly changing requirements is a constant challenge for
organizations today. One way to meet this challenge is by storing and
processing XML natively. Doing so can help enterprises improve
application development productivity and quality by eliminating the
time-consuming mappings and schema evolution necessary for rapidly
changing requirements, thus improving time to market and significantly
lowering IT costs.
