Hello DB2 User Group Leaders,

"GREEN IT WITH DB2! EXTREME MAKEOVER: OPTIMAL PHYSICAL DESIGN REHAB -
DB2 LUW EDITION" - SCOTT HAYES, DBI SOFTWARE

The International DB2 Users Group (IDUG) is pleased to partner with DBI
to deliver a free Webcast by renowned presenter Scott Hayes, President &
CEO, DBI. This live event will run approximately 60-75 minutes and
participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to the
presenter. Capacity is limited, so register early.

About the Webcast:

Database Administrators, DBA Managers, and IT Directors who want to
become Performance Heroes in their organizations should attend this
Webinar based upon Scott Hayes' 2008 IDUG sessions.

After an overview of some key performance measurements, several case
studies will be explored along with the physical design techniques and
solutions that provide optimized results. We'll explore indexes,
composite indexes, clustering indexes, index only access, MDCs, dropping
indexes, and the performance impacts of DB2 9 compression.

Emphasis will be on DB2 LUW with applicability to all DB2 family
platforms. Attend and see how various design techniques can be used to
turn ugly performance into beautiful performance at peak efficiency.

We recommend participants have a box of tissues nearby in case you
experience tears of joy.

About the Presenter:

Scott Hayes, President & CEO DBI, will be the keynote speaker for this
Webinar. Scott has published several articles in DB2 Magazine (now IBM
Database Magazine), and he is a frequent speaker at DB2, ISACA, and ISSA
conferences on topics of database performance, security, and auditing.
He is also providing free DB2 LUW education via the DB2 Magazine blogs
