DB2 Mini Conference


We would like to invite you to a two day long technical briefing "System
z DB2 Mini Conference" to meet and learn the smart DB2 technologies from
the experts.
First day, we will start with an introductory session on Leveraging
System z for Information on Demand and then deep dive into DB2 for z/OS
: Version 10. We will continue with Technical Update DB2 for z/OS
Migration and provide the clients with Hints and Tips to Get The Most
out of DB2 for z/OS. We will finish the first day with DB2 Tools Update
session.
Second day is reserved for The Next Generation Data Warehouse Platform
and Regulatory Compliance sessions.
This event is targeted to Application Developers, System Programmers, DB
Admins and IT Managers and Senior Managers .

offer. Database administrators will find improved database performance,
scalability and availability, while memory management is dramatically

with Java, SQLJ, Cobol / DB2 with Unicode.

This session will provide best practices for a successful
migration to DB2 9 for z/OS. It will share lessons learned, surprises
and pitfalls. It will provide important planning information, and
discuss Plan Stability and converged temporary space.

14:45 - 15:45 Hints and Tips to Get The Most out of DB2 for z/OS -
John Campbell / Florence Dubois
DB2 9 brings a wealth of new features that improve productivity
of administrators and programmers. This presentation shows how some of
the common database administration and programming tasks can be done
more efficiently in DB2 9. It also presents numerous hints and tips to
make the most out of selected DB2 9 features.
