volunteer position opening

Daniel Luksetich

volunteer position opening
Folks,

I know some of you were interested in volunteering, well a position will be
opening in May for a Content Committee member.

What do you do?

-review articles that are submitted to our team

-gather content, which means reaching out to others to submit something

-man the idug booth one night during the conference if you attend

-attend the idug on site content committee meeting if you attend a
conference (beer provided)

-optionally contribute content

-attend a once a month conference call

What you get?

-possibly free registration to a conference, but at least a 40% discount

-and then the obvious experience and admiration that comes with being a part
of the content team

-consideration for promotion to content leader (more responsibility but more
perks)

If interested please email me.

Thanks,

Dan

Nope, we have lot of volunteers outside the USA. Tell me if you can fill the responsibilities as well as your experience with DB2.

Can you participate at this level:

-review articles that are submitted to our team

-gather content, which means reaching out to others to submit something

-man the idug booth one night during the conference if you attend

-attend the idug on site content committee meeting if you attend a conference (beer provided)

-optionally contribute content

-attend a once a month conference call

I’ve had a pretty good response, and only two positions to fill so I can’t promise you a spot.

OK, we've had a number of people step forward. I've managed open up one spot
now and one in May, and so I have two positions opening up. I'm going to cut
off accepting requests to volunteer at this time, and I'll let everyone know
by the end of this month who got the assignment. Thanks to everyone for the
great response!
