Need advice on Data syncing mechanism

Hi Team

Greetings !!!!

We have HADR implemented with 10.5 LUW verion. We are thinking to set up a new Reporting Data base.

which should will be used for reporting purpose alone.

I know that through HADR data is automatically getting replicated to Stand-by machine.

The point is we want a seperate reporting Data Base which should be different from Stand-by Machine.

So is there any Data replication mechanism available to replicate the Data both in Stand by and another Reporting

Data base?

Seeking your help and inputs.

Thanks in advance!!!!

You can use multiple standbys to accomplish this. PG

Hi Sri,

as Phil suggests, multiple stand-by's might be exactly the option you are looking for.

If, however, by "different" you mean that the data structures and/or table contents should differ from your primary database, then you will need to use a data replication product to achieve what you want. The DB2 SQL Replication feature might be sufficient for your needs; in this case all required tooling is already on-board with all DB2 Editions (except free-of-charge Express-C).

Hello Sri,

If you can set up another database, I would recommend using SQL or Q replication. With this ,  you can choose what data you want to replicate and any transformation you want to apply to the source data.
