That was my understanding also.

Subject: [DB2-L] - Changes to DB2 catalog/ directory during DB2
Is the understanding correct that (following) changes to DB2
catalog/ directory are achieved incrementally at different stages
during DB2 migration?
1. New catalog and directory objects are created while migrating to
DB2 V11 CM
2. New columns to DB2 catalog tables are added while migrating to
DB2 V11 CM
3. Columns in DB2 catalog tables are altered while migrating to DB2
What I mean to say is: - DB2 catalog/ directory will *only* change
“partially” when migrating to V11 CM through
application of job DSNTIJTC. And REST of the changes to the
catalog/ directory are made by DSNTIJEN which converts DB2 to
enabling-new-function mode or enabling-new-function mode*.
Is my understanding correct? Please confirm.
