Target SSID "DB2C" cannot be foung in Customization Table using the z/OS DB2 Admin Migration function

Target SSID "DB2C" cannot be foung in Customization Table using the z/OS DB2 Admin Migration function

I have a z/OS DB2 10 sub-system. On TSO/ISPF I am using the DB2 Admin Tools, going to the DB2 system catalog then listing databases. I pick a DB and enter MIG next to it to migrate the DB to another environment. I go through all the selections I need to and ultimately get to the DB2 Migrate Parameters. I specify all the parameters, just as we have done on another LPAR and DB2 sub-system. DB2C is the SSID, BTW. Now I hit enter and the message below is displayed. I have searched the internet, the DB2 Knowledge Center, all the DB2 10 pubs I can find and there is no reference to a "Customization Table". What is DB2, or this utility, referring to? An help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Target SSID "DB2C" cannot be found in Customization Table. Insure SSID is
specified correctly and/or Tag ":nick.DB2C" in Customization Table is
properly defined.

(in response to Robert Weaver)
I think this is what the problem is: When you configured the Admin Tool, DB2C wasn't one
of the subsystems configured. Hence there wasn't an A0CUSTxx job to add it to
SADBTLIB(ADBTPARM).

You could try taking one of the A0CUSTxx jobs and edit it to taste. Or export to "some"
defined subsystem, and edit the generated output to send it to DB2C.

In addition to James comment, SADBTLIB(ADBTPARM) must be shared with all DB2 systems configured with Admin tool to successfully use the MIG command.

Hi Robert,  FYI.    We encountered this "Customization table" error when migrating runstats from a DB2 11 SSID to a V10 SSID (or vice versa).  In the end it wanted us to specify the correct (source and target) DB2 versions in the MIG specs.  If you need more detail, contact me off post and I can share more details.   [login to unmask email]

Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. I found that the Tools Customizer was not run on our system. I have a link to a site with basic information, but there are no details regarding specifics. For example, in the tool, option 1 "Customize a product" you need to specify the "Product or pack metadata library", and from what I can determine that is the hlq.SCCQDENU dataset. I made a copy and copied the members from the SMP/E target zone dataset so that I can customize it. When I enter this name on the panel, with nothing modified, I get "Metadata not found". I made changes removing references to environments thatare not applicable and have gotten further, but not much. I have googled messages that I get and all of them say contact your system administrator. I have been unable to find anyone inside or outside our company that can provide some guidance. I have the program directory, dated 2016, and it references a User's Guide, SC27-9114, which is not found on the PubOrder site. Would anyone have any suggestions or happen to have a copy of the USer's Guide?

There is a link to a PDF of the User's Guide.

(You might want to switch to the pages for a different version of the Admin Tool,)
