question on restricting DB2 access to SSL for some users and not others

hi,

I got a hypothetical question on restricting SSL DB2 access for certain users.

Like for example, I have DB2 server that is configured for both SSL and non-SSL communications. But I want to segregate user a,b,c to be always using SSL and do not connect in a non-ssl way.

similarly, I need user x,y,z to be connecting as regular one and do not use SSL communication.

How can I do this in DB2 LUW?

I can think of connect_proc parameter and write a procedure that can send error on such users with incorrect connection protocol. but it introduces over head on connection processing.

any other methods or way to do it with minimal impact?

thanks,

please treat thread closed.

thanks to it.toolbox.com forum, members who gave the valuable inputs.

Using Trusted Context with Role Assignment, such restriction can be implemented.
