DB2Start command consuming space in Hard Disk

Hi DB2 Gurus,

We have a peculiar problem with one DB2 database (DB2 Client 9.7.0.441 Version, Windows 2012 Server), the problem is whenever I issue db2start at command prompt Administrator window the hard disk space is drastically reducing.

db2stop force command immediately stops the instance, however unable to understand how to fix the issue.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks,

P. Mallik Ram

Hi Pervela,

Any specific reason why you are continuing to still use the 9.7 version as
it will be gong out of support within the next 1.5 months?

Best Regards,
Nadir

Not necessarily abnormal, primary logs are allocated and formatted at startup so that could be what you are seeing. You should be able to check the path the logs are in to confirm....

Hi All,

Many thanks for your advise and very sorry for late response. In fact, we were able to free up space by clearing log files.

Thanks,

No problem. The apparent missing DELETE here bothers me.

I will be back to you ASAP.
