The reality sets in...how do we change all these DB2's to Db2???
Has anyone been successful changing "DB2" to "Db2" throughout a (long!)
Microsoft Word document? Can you tell me how you did it? I am updating
several of our consultants' resumes and Micorsoft Word's Find and Replace
apparently is not case sensitive. The first resume has "DB2" listed 143
times. Find and Replace indicates they all 143 are changed.but it's a fib!

I see that others have pointed the way, but my question is why would you hire someone who can't even spell DB2, I mean Db2, right?☺️

While the products' names might have changed, the certifications' names haven't - they are
what they were when they were awarded, and the catalog still lists them as "DB2".

Just in case some of those "Db2"s need to go back to "DB2"

And I note that you are still led by a "DB2" Gold Consultant.

The reality sets in...how do we change all these DB2's to Db2???
(in response to James Campbell)
And this apparent inconsistency will continue for some time

In our case (and I'm sure it affects other ISPs too) often "DB2" is part of the product name. Luckily Trade Marks are NOT case sensitive so "Widget for DB2" is the same trademark name as "Widget for Db2" would be. Also, IBM are not leaning on us to change these names with any urgency (thanks IBM) but to update them as we get around to collateral changes

This means that when you see product names, they will likely still say "DB2" but when we talk about the engine, we'll be saying "Db2"

Nope.

It's now Db2 for z/OS.

And the one you disparage is simply Db2 (no qualifying platform).

Given the number of things in IBM that still say “zSeries” or “System z” or “z Systems”, I wouldn’t worry too much. I remember seeing a senior IBM sales VP whose email sig still said “zSeries” in 2012! Only seven years after the rename…

Or just uppercase the entire product name: WIDGET FOR DB2 ☺
