turning on RRF in v11

We have had RRF turned on in our Development for maybe 2 years but turned off in Production.

Would  turning on RRF in v11 have any detrimental affects?

thanks

Bill

Hi

I would say no, because that’s the way you have to go. BRF is currently deprecated.

Kind regards

William,

Agree with Walter - we migrated to RRF format over the last 1.5 years without issue. We chose the more conservative path of initially manually converting a few tables (REORG), then making all new tables RRF to pilot the process and assess the impact.

Once we felt comfortable, we began to slowly rollout RRF (selected tables), until we reached a good level of confidence this would not impact us. Once we have manually converted our very largest tables , we then switched the zparm to convert the remaining small to mid-sized tables.

HTH

Jack
