Installing Golden Gate on zOS for DB2 data replication

Hi,

We are planning to install Golden Gate data replication software on our mainframe to copy DB2 data across to an Oracle database.  The zOS part of the install seems straight forward, however I would greatly appreciate any feedback from anyone who has installed & used  this software , things like the extra load it will put on the system ,  any unusual install issues or  any DBA issues to be aware off .

The DB2 zOS install steps from my reading are as follows ;

1 Start trace(monitor) class(1)

2 Set monitor trace to yes in zparms

3 Alter required tables to 'data capture change'

4 Create stored procedures OGGINITA & OGGREADA

My understanding is that after the initial data copy to Oracle this tool will just apply the data changes  across .

ps. we are on DB2 V11

Thanks  in advance
