Do you plan for twice the space in HDD for active location [2 * logprimary] in HADR?

Hi,
I have a HADR environment, with logprimary setting 3 in both stand by and primary.
In the Active log file location it retains 6 or 7 log files even though the first active log file is 5th file. It looks as if it is trying to retain twice the logprimary setting in active location of stand by. In Primary db, there are only 3 log files in active location. I am committing every few records. Definitely it is not a open transaction holding up log files.
I am searching KC, but not able to hit the right page. Please let me know your experience and how you set up HADR in terms of active log space? Do you plan for twice the space in HDD for active location [2 * logprimary] ?

Thanks,

please consider the thread closed. I did a few more test cases, it looks like stand by will maintain 7-10 log files additionally even if it is not required for crash recovery, because it can rename those files than allocating new files.

That was My Silliness in Display. Please ignore thread.
