MALAKA UDF

MALAKA UDF
Hello,

I am new DB2 DBA. I am having problems with UDFs. I am making my UDF called MALAKA to do some things and it is OK in DB2. But when it is used I get error message for it saying about invalid function pointer. I am calling to IBM but am not getting help for it.

Thank you.

There are a few things we need to know:

- what platform (eg OS/390, NT, AIX, etc) and version (eg V6, V7) of DB2 are
you using
- what is the actual SQL used to create the UDF
- what SQL are you using to invoke the UDF, what are the definitions of any
host variables used
- what is the parameter definition used in your UDF code. For example:
COBOL Linkage Section and Procedure Division statement; C procedure
parameters and their specification
- what is the _actual_ error message you are getting. If it refers to
anything, can you give any information about that.
- does "MALAKA" have some meaning that we should be aware of? I ask because
you put it into the subject/title of your post. Many people might see just
the subject and think "subject doesn't mean anything to me, I'll just
discard it without reading further". If the subject/title had been, for
example, "UDF invalid function pointer" people would have had a better idea
about what you asking.

We were all new DBAs once. Like walking, it gets easier with experience.
