There certainly are plenty of 3rd party vendors, and more of them showing up
on DB2-L! (welcome Richard :*) I found a list of ODBC vendors several months
ago and was amazed at the number of companies who provide access to DB2. The
list was shortened a little recently though when MicroFocus bought Intersolv
and XDB.

My own personal list of significant vendors in the DB2 middleware market,
people I try and keep an eye on, is as follows:

StarQuest (StarSQL)
http://www.StarQuest.com
IBM (DB2 Connect)
http://www.ibm.com/data/db2/db2connect
NEON (ShadowDirect)
http://www.NEONsys.com
Microfocus (Intersolv SequelLink & XDB - not clear on what's happening to
the XDB product)
http://www.Microfocus.com
Attachmate (QuickDB)
http://www.Attachmate.com/products/Quick/03QuickDB.asp
IBI (EDA/SQL)
http://www.ibi.com/eda/index.html
HiT (ODBC/DB2 & ODBC Server)
http://www.HiT.com
Sybase (ClearConnect & DirectConnect)
http://www.Sybase.com/products/middleware
WallData (Rumba Office/Arpeggio Data Access)
http://www.Rumba.com/overview/

Less well known vendors:
OpenLink
http://www.openlink.co.uk

Vendors to watch:
Microsoft (native OLEDB driver in beta as part of Microsoft SNA Server SP2)
http://www.Microsoft.com/sna/sna4sp2.asp

Some of these no longer exist in the form quoted, but it gives you an idea.
