Welcome to IDUG's Video Competition, your chance to show
the world what DB2 means to you!
This competition allows DB2 users worldwide to produce
videos for their chance to win a selection of prizes. Videos should
portray your day-to-day experience with DB2 or specific successes or
case studies related to DB2. Videos will be judged in four categories:
- Humor/Parody
- DB2 Success Stories
- Documentary/Serious
- Going Green with DB2

Official Rules
The following rules will apply to competition entries:
- Video entries may not exceed five minutes in length.
- IDUG reserves the right to disqualify any video deemed to be
inappropriate or offensive. No violent or sexual content is permitted.
- IDUG reserves full rights to use and publicize all submitted videos
in any manner.
- Video producers are free to use IDUG logos/ artwork, which you can
access by clicking here.
- Video producers are free to use their own organization's artwork to
promote their company.
- Active members of the IDUG Board of Directors, Web Committee and
all Conference Planning Committees are not eligible to enter.

How to Enter:
Your video must be uploaded to www.YouTube.com prior
to submitting a contest entry on this site. Remember that videos should
not exceed five minutes in length.

When uploading your video, you will be prompted to
include keywords to enhance the video's search functionality. IDUG
recommends the following keywords: DB2, IDUG, Information Management,
Database, Training, Education, Conference.
IDUG encourages you to promote your video on YouTube, as
positive viewer rankings will play a role in the judging. For
information on editing or promoting your video once it has been

Judging/Winner Announcements:
Video submissions will be accepted on or before August
22, 2008. Winners will be announced at the IDUG 2008 - Europe
conference, held October 13-17, 2008. Winners will also be notified via
email.
Judging will be conducted by a panel of six IDUG
volunteers, representing the technical and geographic variety present in
our members. Judges will award 1-10 points for each video based on its
entertainment value and technical merit. Another 1-5 points can be
awarded based on each video's YouTube rating, provided at least 30
people have voted for it. The four categories will be evaluated
separately, with a first and second place winner in each category. The
highest scoring video from all four categories will be awarded the "Best
Overall Video", which provides an additional prize. Please note: any
videos deemed inappropriate and/or offensive will be disqualified.

Winning videos will be placed on IDUG's Online
Learning Center, available for free download by all IDUG members
worldwide. In addition to these prizes, the runner-up videos in each
category will be recognized on IDUG's Web site.
*Please note: The winner(s) of the Best Overall Video
will also have won an individual category prize.
