Hello IDUG Members! Summer is nearly over, and I hope that you've had a chance to enjoy some time away from the keyboard, joining family instead of tables!
IDUG has been working hard to prepare for the EMEA Conference in Prague. We're excited to celebrate IDUG's 35th Anniversary with our attendees in Prague. The grid for the conference is available and looks fantastic; we're very excited to announce that Julian Stuhler, who recently retired from an extraordinary career, will be onsite in Prague to deliver the opening keynote address. We will also have keynotes from Steve Astorino, the VP of Development for Data & AI at IBM, Greg Lotko, Broadcom's GM of the Mainframe Software Division, and Dr. Gloria Chance, CEO of The Mousai Group. The conference is hybrid, so even if you're unable to attend in person, you can stream some of the content from the conference at a significantly reduced price. The conference is just 6 weeks away, so be sure to register today!
IDUG is a volunteer-run organization - over 100 volunteers dedicate thousands of hours per year to supporting our organization. I'd like to recognize 2 members of the IDUG Content Committee: Marcus Davage and Julia Carter, who have worked to create IDUG's podcast, Db2 Table Talk. Marcus and Julia have produced 9 episodes so far, interviewing some of the best known names in the Db2 world. Another of IDUG's valuable volunteers, Joe Geller, is the guest on this month's episode, and he tells some amazing stories from his long career. If you haven't heard it yet, take a moment to listen, and if you see Marcus, Julia or Joe, be sure to say hi and thank them for their efforts with IDUG.
IDUG is proud to support the Db2 community by providing the highest quality education and services for Db2. As always, please reach out to me with any questions, suggestions, or concerns. I am just an email away at email@example.com
