Analytics using R is often driven from client side applications such as RStudio and generally involves transmission of the large amounts of data from the database server to the clients for analysis. This method of doing the analysis can be slow given the limited resources on database client machines. At IDUG NA 2015 we explored basic techniques for integrating R analytics into DB2 through User Defined Functions and Procedures including the basics of building and deploying this into DB2 instances. In this presentation I will explore multistage analysis using R within DB2 and how to deploy those results to standard R client tools such as RStudio for a better graphical experience. I will also highlight how such techniques can be used with dashDB and the next release of DB2 LUW.

2. Techniques and implementation of a multistage analysis
3. Client side integration including server-side plot generation.
4. DashDB and Future release techniques
