LOL, I just took a look at one production data sharing group.
About 505,000 per second.
However, I have a single application that executes a very simple and stupid process once per month and it alone does about 600,000 updates per second.
I hate saying "it depends" so I now say "I don't know". There really is no answer to the question.

We have been asked… What is the maximum # of queries per second we run in DB2?
Further explained as … He isn't looking for max capabilities, but actual daily business on average how many queries per second are we doing to support FDOT business.
We are stymied! Do you know of any way to identify this?
