We are looking to upgrade to Cobol v6.3. Might there be any Db2 considerations with this?
    Any compiler issues?
    thanks

No, one of my clients has just migrated from COBOL 4.3 to 6.3. They had no Db2 issues.
They did, of course, have to handle the documented COBOL migration considerations. You
know, the ones in the migration guide.

We just completed the migration from COBOL 3.4 (don't ask...) to 6.3 and have had no issue whatsoever from the DB2 side.
We used the opportunity to switch to the integrated co-processor and thus eliminate the pre-processor. That meant we had to amend those few COBOL sources that did not respect the rule of continuing embedded SQL statements in area B. All explained in the Migration Guide.
    Very best regards,
    Jantje.
