    Folks,
Does anyone have a method of restricting utilities to run against a specific database during business hours? How can one prevent an application team from submitting a utility during the day? We are only talking about one database in the subsystem.

    Thanks.

    Hi Steve,

Other than scheduling a couple of batch jobs to revoke, and later regrant, the authorities they're exploiting I think the answer is... no.  Once you have an auth you have it for life, not just Christmas.  Soz.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Raymond.

That’s what I thought, just wanted to double check.

What problem are you trying to solve?

SHRLEVEL CHANGE utilities may not pose an issue. Several parameters can be set to minimize any intrusions. Lots of tricks are available and necessary when you are 24x7.
