All character data stored in DB2 has either an implicit or explicit CCSID associated with it. This presentation will show you how to exploit DB2 functionality to write applications that deal with multiple CCSIDs, how to set up your environment so that DB2 does the correct conversions for you, how to use Character based functions, and other advanced issues such as joining tables from multiple encoding schemes. This second session in a two part series will focus more on examples and details than the first session. The first session in the series provides the basic information needed to get the most from this session.
