Building data access and managing performance of your mission critical applications can be a challenge, especially for growing workloads. In this session you will also see how to proactively avoid problems by taking advantage of database best practices during the development phase and how tooling facilitates collaboration between DBAs and Developers to build better data access code. We will look at how Static SQL can be used to improve and stabilize performance. You will see how to build efficient data access via Stored Procedures, queries and other DML operations, with a focus on application development. Finally, you will see how DBAs can prevent rogue queries or problemmatic workloads, and also stabilize the performance of applications without impacting application design.

EXP. LEVEL: Beginner,Intermediate

OBJECTIVES:

How to effectively manage performance for existing applications in a minimally invasive way.

How you can help developers build efficient data access code.

Learn how to use tooling effectively during development to collaborate between DBAs and Developers

Learn how to use tools to do Query Tuning
