  • 1.  Table not being accessed from Other member of Datasharing

    Hi All,

    I am trying to access a DB2 table from  a data sharing member which was upgraded to V12 recently getting -551 error.
    But the same table is being accessed  from another member still in DB2 V11.
    I was able to access the table from both the members earlier
    Kindly suggest anything needs to be done.

    Are you using trusted contexts/Roles and/or auth Exit mapping? If the auth exit mapping is not correct in the Db2 12 load library available to it then that might explain it...

    Are you using external security ? did you assemble the security exit in your V12 sdsnexit ?

    I've seen this happen when using external security (e.g. RACF) years ago when the authorization exit crashed in one member of a data sharing group but was still active in another.  That was back when the exit was much more unstable than it is now.
