Speaker Bio: Roger E. Sanders is the President of Roger Sanders Enterprises, Inc. and a Senior Consultant, Software Engineer (Director) with EMC Corporation. He has been working with DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows since it was first introduced on the IBM PC (as part of OS/2 1.3 Extended Edition) and is the author of 22 books on relational database technology (21 are on DB2 and one is on ODBC). Roger authored the Distributed DBA column in IBM Data Magazine (formerly DB2 Magazine) for 10 years and has written numerous tutorials and articles for IBM's developerWorks website as well as for publications like Certification Magazine and IDUG Solutions Journal (the official magazine of the International DB2 User's Group). He has also helped IBM develop 21 DB2 certification exams. In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, Roger was recognized as an IBM Champion for his contributions to the IBM Data Management community; in 2010 he was recognized as an IBM developerWorks Contributing Author, in 2011 he was recognized as an IBM developerWorks Professional Author, and in 2012 he was recognized as an IBM developerWorks Master Author, Level 2 (for his contributions to IBM developerWorks). He lives in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and for the past 3 years, he has served as President of the Triangle DB2 User's Group (TRIDUG).

Abstract:  This training is designed to introduce the student to the concepts a test candidate must know to take and pass the DB2 10.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Database Administration certification exam (Exam 611). The material for this course is aligned with the 611 exam objectives and was created by an individual who helped develop the 611 exam. (If time permits, topics related to the DB2 10.5 exam (Exam 311) will be covered as well.
