Abstract:  "This presentation will explore the details of BMC Next Generation Technology for DB2 data management. BMC’s NGT Utilities are digital ready utilities designed to simplify the complex DB2 database of the 21st Century. These utilities redefine what true data management must be in the demanding digital age. We will show the process of building the utilities from the ground up to get a deep understanding of not only the how but they why and most importantly, what does it mean to you and the DB2 industry.

A reorg that never takes the data out of RW ever and never sorts? A Load that can be run across a sysplex on multiple nodes from a single job? Is an 85% reduction in resources possible? Can utilities be so resilient that they fix themselves? Can terabytes of unstructured data just become part of routine maintenance? Find out how you can do more than you’re doing now with less work and less resources. A successful digital transformation requires a new simplified solution in data management.

A constantly optimized database is possible, given the right technology. "
