Speaker Bio: Judy H. Nall is an internationally recognized DB2 for z/OS lecturer, consultant, writer and educator for Computer Business International, Inc. (CBI). Judy supports CBI customers by providing consulting services and classes on DB2 for z/OS. She is on the board of the Alabama DB2 Users Group, on the NA IDUG marketing planning committee, speaks at user groups and conferences around the country. She is a member of the IBM DB2 Gold Consultants Group, and an IBM Data Champion. Her book on DB2 System Administration certification guide is published by MC Press Online.

Abstract:  Exam #C2090-318 is divided into six topic sections; installation and migration, security and auditing, system operation and maintenance, backup and recovery, performance and tuning, and troubleshooting.
Each of those six sections will be reviewed to help students build or refresh their skill sets for the exam. Examples of topics covered: DB2 and system environment, DB2 subsystem parameters characteristics (DSNZPARM), system tuning techniques using specific traces, DB2 commands, monitoring threads, overview of data sharing in DB2, backup and recovery of DB2, disaster recover considerations, system performance and tuning, buffer pools, workload manager settings, specialty engines in DB2, and troubleshooting scenarios.
