Db2 Fundamentals Track | z/OS

Experience IDUG while working on your skills! The Db2 Fundamentals Track, which runs concurrently with traditional technical and breakout sessions, allows participants to master Db2 fundamentals and take part in IDUG 2022 North America Db2 Tech Conference activities. This four-day course focusing on z/OS, takes place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday, July 11 - Wednesday, July 13. Participants will have the opportunity to take the certification exam the morning of Thursday, July 14. Fundamentals Track courses are offered on a first-come/first-served basis. Seating is limited to 40 participants.

This beginning Db2 basic course is designed for z/OS database administrators who need to acquire the basic skills required to administer a Db2 database in a z/OS environment. Db2 12 for z/OS beginning DBAs can develop fundamental skills or recognition through lectures and hands-on exercises of:

  • TSO/E and ISPF
  • JCL and SDSF
  • Data sets
  • Db2 Utilities
  • Db2 Objects
  • Db2 Logging
  • Structured Query Language
  • Db2 Program Preparation

Db2 Fundamentals Track | LUW

Experience IDUG while working on your skills! The Db2 Fundamentals Track, which runs concurrently with traditional technical and breakout sessions, allows participants to master Db2 fundamentals and take part in IDUG 2022 North America Db2 Tech Conference activities. This four-day course focusing on LUW, will take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday, July 11 - Wednesday, July 13, and from 9:00 am until until mid-day Thursday, July 14. Participants will have the option of taking the certification exam Thursday afternoon. Fundamentals Track courses are offered on a first-come/first-served basis. Seating is limited to 40 participants.

This course is designed for individuals who will plan, implement, and maintain Db2 11.5 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows databases. These skills can also be utilized to support cloud based databases using Db2 on Cloud or Db2 Hosted environments
