Dear IDUG Membership,
The theme of this eBulletin is PERFORMANCE - a subject close to my heart. I have been doing Application Performance and Capacity for over 25 years. I love my job and there is never a dull moment (and often it's just proving that it is NOT a DB2 problem!).
This week's highlight article from the IDUG Content Team is an excellent piece by Philip Nelson on DB2 for LUW Performance: Bufferpool Tuning. Now, if you are an IDUG member, then you have access to over 600 presentations from past IDUG events http://www.idug.org/p/cm/ld/fid=96.Many of these are on performance topics, and are still relevant. If you're not a member of IDUG, why not join and get access to this valuable material? The best part is that it's FREE. Presentations from the 2011 IDUG DB2 Technical Conference in Anaheim, California will be available this month.
While on the topic of performance, it is the incredibly professional performance of almost 100 IDUG volunteers that make IDUG such a great organization. Add the many speakers who over the years have given their time to deliver high quality DB2 content, and you have a recipe for success. I want to thank all of you, and let you know that you make a difference.
And finally, I want to congratulate our 2012 IDUG DB2 Technical Conference best speaker winners from Denver, Colorado: Suresh Sane selected Best User Speaker for his "DB2 10 Application Topics - A Customer Experience" presentation and Melaine Stopfer selected Best Overall Speaker for her "DB2 LUW Advanced Utilities and Problem Determination Tips and Tricks" presentation.
As always, stay connected to IDUG … make www.IDUG.org your gateway to the worldwide DB2 Community and in-depth technical information.
With Best Regards,
