DB2 lightweight data is a collection of different DB2 troubleshooting/monitoring data set that can be enabled to run on DB2 database systems continuously to collect forensic data without impacting production systems. This data set can be stored for weeks to be analyzed/compared when needed. It provides a valuable information to DB2 DBAs and users to proactively monitor their DB2 databases' health, hang/performance issues and apply a preventive action(s) for future problems.
It not only collects DB2 but OS data as well to basic troubleshooting in OS areas like CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network.
