Plan Management was introduced in DB2 9 and brought forward to DB2 10. Access Path Stability introduces new bind options in DB2 10. Both of these functions are proving to be invaluable tools when doing conversions to DB2 9 and DB2 10. However, for IT Professionals who started with DB2 Version 1 these features can produce challenges to their hard learned belief systems.
