In a perfect world, accidents would not happen, and no one would ever need to recover their database - but then there is reality! It is important that you are able to recover the data you need rapidly, especially in today's dynamic warehousing environments. This presentation will cover an overview of how to plan the backup and recovery strategy for your data warehouse database. We will be focused on DPF (ie. partitioned) databases, and the strategies you can put in place for the backup and recovery of large databases.
