Online schema changes is on of the most anticipated and exciting features in DB2. This presentation will study the performance impact to applications that access objects modified via online schema change. Elapsed and CPU metrics will be collected on applications over time as a variety of online changes are made to the application's objects. Tips will be provided on how to minimize the performance impact of online changes.
